The Rich Hill School District is seeking to partner with the local community to provide much needed cosmetic updates to the football facility. Nick Alkire of Alkire Paint Pro and Custom Renovations kindly supplied the district with a generous quote for work to be done this summer. Our goal is to repaint the rusted goal posts, scoreboard, play clocks, and access gate, replace broken and warped wooden bleachers, and repair steps leading up to the press box. The cost for all labor, paint supplies, and other materials is estimated at $3,000.
We are asking for your help in raising the funds needed to proceed with these upgrades. Donations can be made through mail or dropped off in person at the school district's central office with Superintendent Kevin Goddard or Bookkeeper Donna Morrison from 9:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. The address for drop off or mail delivery is 703 N. 3rd Street in Rich Hill. Ideally, the necessary amount of funds will be collected during the month of June so work may take place in July.
If contributions exceed the needed $3,000, additional money will be used to purchase lower priority items. This list includes a new sign to replace the faded Tiger on the press box, a down marker, chains, and team benches. When considering your donation, remember that your investment will have a broad effect on the community. Youth sports, middle school athletics, and high school athletics will benefit from these improvements for years to come.
