Mrs. Tonya Cox says she has "lived everywhere" but she considers Rich Hill her "hometown."
This is Mrs. Cox's 21st year of teaching. She earned her Masters Degree in Career and Technical Education from UCM. Besides teaching, Mrs. Cox owns a food trailer and has worked in food service or education since she was 12.
Married to Dallas, they have two daughters. Bailey is an Agriculture Education major at UCM; and Ashley is a 6th grader at Butler. Her hobbies include traveling and food.
As an alum, Mrs. Cox knows that Rich Hill school cares about kids and the community is "super supportive" of the school and children. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Cox is especially proud of her school "kids." She loves running into them years later and listening to stories of how the learning from her classes has helped them in life after high school.
Mrs. Cox wants to share, "Knowledge is power and comes from multiple sources. Help us (the school) educate the kids everyday and in multiple ways."
I must admit, I'm a foodie too and my office being across the hall from Mrs. Cox's FACS class is not good for my waistline!
