Mrs. Amberly Phelps is a Rich Hill hometown girl who is in her 21st year as an educator at her alma matter. After graduating a Tiger, Mrs. Phelps earned a Business Degree in Agriculture and then completed a Masters in Special Education. Mrs. Phelps teaches multiple subjects every day in her classroom along with her duties as the Director of Special Education.
She lives in Rich Hill with her husband, Mike, daughter Lanie, 5 horses, 3 cats, 2 dogs...and a partridge in a pear tree (I made that last part up). One of the dogs, Molly, comes to school as a therapy dog to help calm or deescalate students who are in crisis. At Halloween, Molly dressed up in multiple outfits throughout the day to the amusement of the student body.
Mrs. Phelps and Lanie travel all over showing horses and riding in competitions.
Mrs. Phelps takes pride in helping challenged students become successful members of the Rich Hill community. She especially enjoys seeing past students succeed at their planned hopes as dreams as they transition out of high school into the future.
We appreciate all of the hard work Amberly does for our students!
