Ms. Diane Smith is from Rich Hill and has been teaching here for the last 18 years. She earned her Bachelor in Education from UMKC. Ms. Smith runs the Student Success Center which helps students who need a study hall, a quiet place for credit recovery, extra assistance in getting work completed, as well as a spot for In School Detention when necessary.
For 9 years, Ms. Smith worked at the West Central Missouri Community Action Agency in Senior Services and then 13 years for the State of Missouri in the Department of Health and Senior Services as a Social Services worker.
Ms. Smith has two sons and a daughter. She enjoys attending her grandchildren's games and school events and her hobbies include reading. She's glad to be at Rich Hill because this is her hometown.
Ms. Smith is most proud of her family. Her words of wisdom are, "Work hard and be kind to others."
