There is a new traffic pattern for student parking and parent drop-off and pick-up.
Student Council asked the board to return to pre-COVID patterns and requested the city change Poplar Street to One Way. The new city ordinance making Poplar St. between 5th and 3rd a one way street is posted below as well as maps explaining the changes.
Parent pick up and drop off will only be in front of the dome entrance.
No parents are to enter the student parking lot for student pick up or drop off.
When lining up or entering the parking lot, please be mindful of the bus lane and staff parking as they will need to be able to get in and out safely.
Students may not be dropped off before 7:35am. Please line up without blocking bus or emergency vehicle access, or without blocking staff access and parking spaces. After students are released at 3pm, an elementary staff member will direct the first car to move to one of the pickup stations in front of the dome doors.

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF RICH HILL, MISSOURI TO MAKE POPLAR STREET FROM 3rd to 5th STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF RICH HILL, MISSOURI, A ONE-WAY STREET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 304.120 RSMo., municipalities, by ordinance, may establish one-way streets and provide for the regulation of vehicles thereon;
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen finds it to be in the best interest for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Rich Hill Missouri to make Poplar Street, extending from 5th to 3rd Street, a one-way street in the direction going East to West.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RICH HILL, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE. That Poplar Street, extending from 5th to 3rd Street, shall hereby be a one-way street in the direction going from East to West.
SECTION TWO. Moreover, by virtue of this Ordinance, the City is hereby permitted to place requisite signage along this portion of Poplar Street to advise right-of-way users of the one-way nature of Poplar Street extending from 5th to 3rd Street.
SECTION THREE. The provisions of any ordinance or code section in conflict with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION FOUR. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
SECTION FIVE. The provisions of this ordinance are severable and if any provision hereof is declared invalid, unconstitutional, or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance.
